How to Study at Angel’s International University (AIU)

The AIU Home Study Model

Studying at Angel's International University (AIU) is based on structured independent learning, guided research, and academic report writing. Our distance education system is designed specifically for adult learners and working professionals. Students complete their programmes through:

  • Guided reading of prescribed academic materials
  • Research-based assignments and reports
  • Applied professional analysis
  • Thesis or final project submission (for postgraduate levels)

AIU follows modern adult-learning principles that emphasize flexibility, independent thinking, and practical application of knowledge.

Degree Programmes Offered

AIU offers three primary academic levels:

1️⃣ Bachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Science (BSc) / Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom)
The Bachelor’s programme corresponds to an undergraduate degree within the international academic framework. It is designed for students who have completed higher secondary education (10+2) or equivalent.

2️⃣ Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MSc) / Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Master of Commerce (Mcom)
The Master’s programme is designed for individuals who already hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. The MBA is specifically structured for business professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives seeking advanced managerial expertise.

3️⃣ Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Research
The PhD represents the highest academic level offered by AIU. It is research-based and requires:

  • A completed Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated professional or academic competence
  • Approval of a research proposal
The PhD programme focuses on independent research and thesis development under academic supervision

4️⃣ Master of Philosophy (MPhil)
The MPhil is an advanced postgraduate research degree that serves as a bridge between a traditional Master’s degree and a PhD. It is designed for scholars who wish to deepen their understanding of research methodology and specific academic theories. The programme requires intensive coursework followed by a significant independent research project, culminating in a dissertation that demonstrates a candidate’s capacity for scholarly inquiry.

5️⃣ Post-Doctoral Research
This designation is intended for individuals who have already earned a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree and wish to pursue specialized, advanced research. This is not a traditional degree programme but a high-level research appointment. Post-doctoral fellows work closely with senior faculty to expand the boundaries of their field, publish peer-reviewed academic works, and contribute to the university’s research output, often bridging the gap between doctoral studies and professional careers in academia or research leadership.

  • A completed Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated professional or academic competence
  • Approval of a research proposal

The PhD programme focuses on independent research and thesis development under academic supervision.

A.P.E.L. Programme

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning

AIU offers an A.P.E.L. pathway for mature and experienced professionals.

This programme is designed for:

  • • Entrepreneurs
  • • Managers
  • • Corporate executives
  • • Consultants
  • • Writers and researchers
  • • Experienced Professionals

Basic Eligibility:

  • Minimum age: 20 years
  • High school diploma (minimum)
  • At least 3 years of documented professional experience
  • Minimum age of 30 years for PhD applicants

Under A.P.E.L., the candidate’s professional experience, certifications, publications, leadership roles, and prior education are evaluated. Approved experience may be converted into academic credits toward the chosen programme. In certain cases, highly qualified candidates may be allowed to proceed directly to advanced research components.

The Enrolment Process

Step 1: Application
Applicants may submit an online enquiry form or email their CV (with their proof of claim of all documents) and indicate the desired programme (BA, BSc, Bcom, MA, MSc, Mcom, MBA, PhD).

Processing Time: 5–10 working days (average). After evaluation, AIU issues a Provisional Admission Assessment, which includes credits recognized, validated A.P.E.L. credits, remaining requirements, duration, and tuition. This assessment does not create any obligation for the student.

Step 2: Confirmation of Enrolment
If the applicant accepts the proposed study structure, the Application Form must be signed and the Payment Plan confirmed. Once verified, the student receives an Official Certificate of Enrolment, Student Identification Number, and Personalized Study Plan.

Credit Structure & Tuition Framework

Programme costs are determined based on the number of credits required to complete the degree. Previously earned academic credits and validated professional experience credits are deducted from the total required credits.

Example: If a Bachelor’s programme requires 120 credits and 60 credits are validated via A.P.E.L., the student only pays for the remaining 60 credits.

AIU may offer multi-program discounts for combined pathways such as Bachelor + Master or Master + PhD.

Study Duration

There is no rigid academic calendar. Programme duration depends on student commitment, time dedicated to research, number of validated credits, and speed of submission. AIU does not impose unnecessary academic pressure. However, students are encouraged to submit at least one academic report after six month to maintain active enrolment.

Academic Support & Supervision

Students are supported through assigned academic supervisors, thesis guidance (for Master and PhD), administrative assistance, and academic clarification support. Supervisors assist students throughout research, report writing, and thesis development.

Graduation Process

After completing all required reports and thesis (if applicable), graduation processing typically takes 60–90 days. Degrees are issued during scheduled graduation cycles.

Graduates receive: Official Degree Certificate, Academic Transcript, Academic Achievement Report, Recommendation Letter (upon request), and Notarization / Apostille (where applicable).

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Students may withdraw at any time. Refund policy: Withdrawal within 30 days: 50% refund; Withdrawal within 90 days: 30% refund; Withdrawal after 90 days: No refund. Students who face payment difficulties are encouraged to contact administration to explore alternative arrangements.
