A Path to Transcendent Understanding
At Angel's International University, our Faculty of Religious Sciences is structured to provide a profound academic and spiritual journey through the world’s most influential belief systems. For primary academic organization, our five core faculties center on the global traditions of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism, yet we maintain a flexible academic philosophy that transcends these boundaries. Students seeking a Ph.D. by Research are invited to undertake autonomous, original investigations into any field of religious knowledge, including diverse creeds and minor traditions. These specialized study programs are developed in close coordination with our Student Secretariat, ensuring that every researcher has the freedom to explore unexplored spiritual territories while maintaining rigorous academic standards.
In this rapidly evolving global era, the university remains committed to a future-oriented perspective that accounts for epochal geopolitical and cultural changes. Data from the Pew Research Center reveals that approximately 84% of the world’s population identifies with a religious group, proving that faith remains an integral and growing part of human life. Our curriculum is deeply informed by these global trends, noting that while Christians currently represent the largest group with 2.3 billion followers, Islam is the fastest-growing faith and is projected to nearly equal Christianity in size by 2060. With 1.2 billion Hindus, 500 million Buddhists, and 430 million practitioners of local religions also shaping the global landscape, it is clear that spiritual differences influence everything from migration and poverty to international stability.
The primary objective of our program is to empower students to conduct in-depth research that serves both personal enlightenment and professional advancement. Because religion is present in nearly every modern context—including industry, politics, and global organizations—an advanced academic understanding of these topics is essential for navigating future challenges. By focusing on majors such as Islamic Studies, Biblical Studies, Buddhist Studies, Jewish Studies, Hindu Studies, and general Religion Studies, our students gain a sophisticated grasp of human history and culture. This educational path at Angel's International University prepares graduates to lead with integrity in a world where religious literacy is increasingly tied to social and working opportunities.
